All are welcome to join the group. If you have questions, contact Rev. Terri

Music

  • If you are interested in choral singing during please talk to Geoff after Sunday Service.

Drum Circle

The first circle will gather on Wednesday, July 12th. Weather permitting, we’ll meet in the court yard.

Why join a drum circle?

• Drumming breaks down barriers and unites people.

• Each participant can express him/herself non-verbally

• The drums rhythm gets us out of our heads and allows us to experience life.

• We can release our thoughts without words.

• It is relaxing and yet stimulates our body systems in healthy ways.

• Some people have lowered their blood pressure through drumming.

• Most participants report that they sleep better after being in a drum circle.

• It teaches us to listen to one another.

• IT’S FUN!!!

You do not need any prior experience, knowledge of music or a drum to participate. Come and discover how the drumming all fits together without instruction. Mary will bring drums and other rhythm instruments for you to play. Please bring a drum if you have one.

Classes

  • On the second Sunday of each month, The Rev. Terri Hobart will lead Inquirers Classes for those who would like to learn more about the beliefs, history, worship, and practices of the Episcopal Church. Each class will cover a different aspect of the Episcopal Church. This series is ideal for those newer to the Episcopal Church, as well as anyone who has questions or would like to deepen their understanding of the Episcopal Tradition. Parishioners are invited to attend the whole series or just classes of particular interest. Those who are considering or who will participate in confirmation or reception should participate in all sessions or schedule a make up, if necessary.

Jenifer Gamber’s Your Faith, Your Life: An Invitation to the Episcopal Church, available online through Church Publishing Incorporated, is recommended as a companion to this series.

  • Beginning in September, we will be designating the third Sunday of each month as a Creation Sunday. For the next three months during coffee hour we will be viewing short videos from Project Drawdown, the world's leading resource for climate solutions, followed by a discussion. Project Drawdown's mission is to help the world reach “drawdown”—the point in the future when levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere stop climbing and start to steadily decline, thereby stopping catastrophic climate change—as quickly, safely, and equitably as possible.
